“The second group [of artists] spent much of their time finding and formulating a visual problem. (…) In the decades since, countless researchers have shown that many (…) forms of (…) creativity (…) depend less on solving (…) problems than on figuring out what the problem is in the first place. (…) Problem finding may well be at the origin of the creative process.” (via) Years ago I was criticised by an employer, who said that they hired me to solve problems, not to find them. It stuck in the back of my mind. What a freeing feeling to suddenly get vindicated in such a surprisingly beautiful way.
